Where simchas are held
For every shalom zachar, girls' kiddush, bar mitzva kiddush and oifruf in Kol Mevaser: was it at the family's own home, at parents' or in-laws', in a shul, or in a hall? Read from the place printed with each notice. Where no place is printed it is shown as “Not stated” — nothing is guessed.
Venue by simcha type
Share of each simcha type held at each kind of venue (all years).
How it is read: “בבית חותנו / חמיו” = in-laws' home; “בבית אביו / הוריו” = parents' home; “בביתו / בביתם” = own home; a shul name, or a shul's simcha hall, = shul; banqueting and school halls = hall. A women's kiddush printed separately (e.g. “קידוש לנשים בביתם”) is not counted — the main venue is. Each simcha is counted once.
